The pinnacle in CD transport technology, this single-well CD Transport utilizes TEAC's proprietary Vibration-Free Rigid Disc-Clamping System (VRDS) derived from their flagship Esoteric HiFi line. By eliminating the DAC function, the internal circuitry has been optimized for larger componentry and enhanced digital output, delivering uncompromising performance for the most discerning audiophiles.
MQA Core Decoder
Built-in MQA core decoder digitally outputs MQA-encoded CDs at 88.2 kHz. When paired with a DAC featuring MQA rendering, full MQA decoding is possible for ultimate fidelity.
Dual Master Clocks
Dual on-board clocks at 44.1kHz and 48kHz ensure accurate timing and synchronization. Includes 10MHz external clock input for ultimate precision.

Understanding VRDS Technology
This TEAC-original CD drive mechanism reduces rotation vibration of the disc itself as well as unwanted mechanism vibration by clamping the CD to an aluminum turntable with the same diameter and maximizing inertial mass in order to stabilize rotation.
Servo current is reduced with the turntable by correcting disc warping and distortion and improving the relative optical axis precision of the pickup and disc pit side. This realizes reduced disc reading errors and creates outstanding audio quality.
- Bridge supporting the turntable is built with carefully-selected lightweight, rigid materials that don't transmit vibration
- Entire CD mechanism mounted on sub-chassis in semi-floating state to reduce vibration from main chassis and external sources
- Power transformers mounted on floating structure to reduce vibration generation
- Variable-length side fins eliminate sympathetic vibrations during heat dissipation
